The outlets and light switch in my room dont work?

So we had an eReader plugged in my rooom and my lil brother yanked the cord out and there was this big blue flash/spark now all of the outlets in the room except 1 dont work and the lights in the my room and the living room dont work? PLEASE HELP! Ive been looking at other answers on yahoo and it seems that a tripped breaker or blown fuse might have caused the problem if so how do i fix this and where is the fuse or breaker located i really need help please i dont even know what a breaker or fuse is!
