Mercman, I have no spark on cyl no. 1 1979 80HP switch out coil, is not the coil, is it like the the trigger?

No spark on no.1 cylinder is generally a sign of switchbox failure. Swap the leads from the switch box to the coils, if the problem follows, it's the switchbox.
